This work is part of the “Transpositions” series, which explores the idea of dual homelands by placing designs from ancient Dong-Son bronze drums into the milieu of a Texas landscape.

“Transplant II” shows three warriors (recognizable by their feathered headdresses and weapons in hand) in a boat, drifting down a Texas bayou by moonlight. Overhead, a full moon limns the needles of a pine tree.
